Microfiction Monday #55 & #9

Microfiction Monday celebrates Halloween:

And here's mine:

She's heading down your street.
Calling "Trick and treat."
Misbehaving at your door.
Nobody told her it should have been "Or."

And the ninth Microfiction Monday.

Here's my response:

He wept when he finally saw the sea. They'd trained for the surfing contest in the absence of water. The horse was always going to drown.

Yeah, big difference between 'and' & 'or'!

I laughed out loud at the Halloween line -- should you and I go into the greeting card business together? LOL

And in the second one, oh dear, I could swear the horse heard your last line... just look at his face!

I remember thinking it was "trick and treat" when I was little. In fact, some adults thought the same thing, and wanted us to sing or do a trick. Once they heard me sing, they never asked again.

I laughed out loud at both of these, Dave. Very good MMs! The last line in each one was the kicker that cracked me up.

Happy Halloween yesterday!!

Both are quite imaginative! The second one, sadly, reminds me of the recent USA swimmer who drowned during an open water swim event in Dubai. Perhaps people who live in the desert aren't the best people to provide safety for open water swimmers?

Perhaps the horse would be OK if the rider stuck to surfing the net? lol

I think Susan should elevate one of these to Greeting Card level...yours would surely be at the top. :)
