Microfiction Monday #67 & #21

It's this blog's second birthday, but more importantly it's also Microfiction Monday:

"Dad?"

His old man remained silent.

"How long shall we wait?"

His father inhaled deeply before he replied.

"She'll come back."

Here's my response:

She struck a pose. "Don't look now, but are they taking photos?"

"I can't tell if I don't look."

"Just don't look like you're looking."

Oh, so sad! This one is shrouded in mystery...did she die, did she run off, is she lost? You've got me thinking! Great job.

Sad or silly to wait thus? Loyal and faithful, anyway.

Two interesting memes. I'm here for the MM one in particular, but I'd say you handled both rather well.

A real mystery you've set up, Dave, and a terrific take on the pic of the day! Hope you have a wonderful week! Enjoy!

The first one is heart-breaking. In so few words you've described excruciating sadness.

Second one--hilarious.
