Teach An Old Blog New Tricks

Spurred on by Nicola Morgan's birthday blogging I visited a great many blogs yesterday and I was inspired to do some spring cleaning on here:

I've set up an RSS feed. Whatever that is.

Over on the right you should see a blogroll. That's blogroll with three l's, not what you may have originally read it as. This is a list of my current favourite blogs. A top fourteen if you will. I know, it's catchy isn't it?

I'm also using Google analytics to make sense of traffic to and from the blog, if indeed there is anybody actually reading it.

Having browsed blogs aplenty, I decided to vote for a couple of them in the 2010 bloggie awards. Why not nominate your favourite blogs?

Any and all suggestions welcome.

Hi Dave. Thanks for visiting my blog via Nicola's blog-birthday party. Great party!

It was, wasn't it?

And without any of the associated cleaning up or hangovers.

Hi Dave, saw you at the party and decided to stop in and see what was going on at your place. Very interesting! I love meeting new people and this has been a great adventure. Please visit me also. I just re decorated my blog. See anything you like, let me know and I'll tell you how to do it. Cheers to a great year. I think I'll follow you a bit.

Hi Dave,
There are so many things to learn about the technical aspects of maintaining a blog--I just wish I was more adept at understanding all of it. I do really like Google Analytics. One of the first things I do every morning is check my hits for the previous day and week. It's fun to see where the hits are coming from. I still don't understand everything I'm looking at in the Analytics but am trying to use the info to improve my blog's performance. I have been posting my musings about blogging over the past several Mondays. I would invite any of your comments on what I've said in any of these posts (or any of my other posts for that matter).
Good luck with your blogging,
Lee

Thanks. If only there was a way to have more time to write it.
